wow... that thing is horrible!!! how could they pay someone to design an ugly piece of hardware like that? i think the loser of the game should have to receive that trophy. that thing is 4 feet tall very hard for the winner to try to hide it. well in all fairness, its not hat bad if you squint your eyes, walk about 30 feet away and go into the next room. :rolleyes: :cool:

Well, I guess I'm in the minority here again - THAT is a pretty extravagant trophy. I guess I'd do without the 8 football dudes on there - (looks like someone won a bet on how many of those guys he could fit on there.)
The only good thing from the last one was the "crystal ball" on the top. Otherwise, it looks like a Sears Tower replica. (correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Sears the first BCS sponsor? Maybe that's what they were going for?)
I know that ADT pulled out of sponsorship earlier this year. They probably just put their nameplate on there, and left the trophy the same.

Speaking of funny trophy moments, remember when we won the National Championship and the announcer goes "here is your trophy coach Stoops" and his eyes got really big as he thought how am I going to left this huge thing and the guy is like no...just the ball :P

The first thing I thought of when I saw that trophy was the Village People.
There is something seriously wrong with your trophy if ANYONE thinks of the Village People when they see it.

When we won the Orange Bowl in 2000 (yeah yeah, Jan. 2001) we got both a crystal football AND a separate Orange Bowl trophy. That will change now since the NC game is separate from the Fiesta Bowl, though it's held in the same stadium.

I don't think it's a bad looking trophy. It's definetely different. I think OU has that same trophy anyways from when they won the Fiesta Bowl in the past. I'll take the trophy. It means another Sooner victory.

I'm not positive, but I think the winner of Ohio State / Florida will NOT get one of those, becasue they did not play the Fiesta Bowl - they're playing the BCS national championship game. We're playing the Fiesta Bowl. To confusion is that both games will be in the same stadium, except we're playing on Jan. 1 and they're playing on Jan. 8.
This +1 game is weird.

I think that Ohio State/FLA are in the REAL Fiesta Bowl & we're playing in the added game . . . RIGHT?:confused:
When we played FSU in the orange bowl, we got 2 trophies - the BCS crystal ball trophy & the orange bowl "bowl".
Maybe they'll get both as well?

A historically crappy bowl like the Fiesta Bowl deserves a trophy like that. BCS or non-BCS bowl, it still reminds me of a middle-tier bowl game. The Cotton Bowl still has more meaning to me than the Fiesta Bowl. 7-5 teams played in this bowl A LOT. I know I know, things have changed, but that's still how I feel about it. Amazing what location and big bucks will do to the reputation of a bowl game. Heck, maybe that means that the Music City bowl will be the next BCS addition.
