OK first, we just made a three day trip up there for family reasons.

I went looking for 1. Big 12 Champ gear. 2. an OU coat for my 4 yr old (he has outgrown his old one).

WE went to 3 walmarts, 1 academy, 1 sams, 1 bigred store(in edmond)

there wasn't squat , nothing, NADA, whats up with that????????????????????????

I was really p!ssed that the stores didn't have anything. one thing I did find was a fiesta bowl shirt at Sams with OU and Boise State but they only had 2 sizes . none of which fit me.

Somebody needs to get on the production wagon. BTW I did see stuff for oSu but the help explained that they had not gotten any OU stuff. So onto the internet I go. I look for polos. Selection there sucks. Anyone know anyone who has some good stuff out there.

On another note. Some guy down near the border is extremely P!ssed that the Oklahoma gov took away his property under the eminemt domain cause for another casino. He has acoupleof signs posted to let everyone know how the state is screwing him. could be you next, he says. make sthe state look really bad and gives texas more fuel for the fire. I DO understand his pain.

3rd and last. The billboards for the casinos should be taken down. all 200 of them. I never saw billboads by phillips morris saying SMOKE AND YOU WILL LOOK COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND NEVER HAVE TO WORK AGAIN.

These signs really look like white trashish. Those casinos have everyone fooled and should be ridden out on a rail. one or two is OK. every I-35 exit is ridiculous. (i know its not every one but it seemed like it and they are all scams) JMO

I ran across the same thing when I was in Oklahoma for a few days in the summer. Went to several stores looking for Sooner gear but could find very little and nothing that I wanted. I finally went out of my way to go to a Walmart in Norman and it did have a special section at the front of the store with OU stuff but there was only one shirt design (polo type too) that I liked but not in my size and there was nothing for the kids.

When I lived in OK there was Sooner stuff everywhere I looked... what's happened? At the time I thought maybe since I was there in the summer maybe the stores were in the middle of getting rid of last season's stuff and waiting for the season's stuff but since you're having problems too...

1) How does eminent domain make us look bad to Texas and why would we care?
2) Those casinos are huge revenue producers for the state and the casinos have put a lot of money into the state infrastructure (although they have had an impact on the infrastructure). Also, I don't see how they have everyone fooled?

University Bookstore, OU Authentic, all have lots of great Fiesta gear!

Basically, the closer you get to OU, especially going down Lindsey, the more OU merchandise/bookstores you come across. The best place has to be University Bookstore in the satdium though.

I was looking for Fiesta Bowl gear for my dad last week online. Anyone know who has Fiesta stuff on their web site? I tried Balfour, University Bookstore and some other place on Campus Corner.

Yeah, there's still the smaller bookstore in the Union, but its selection is very average compared to the main OU Bookstore at the stadium.

You can easily find OSU stuff, because few people want it.

Big Red Shop has a pretty good selection of items. They have always volunteered to order it for me if they didn't have it.

All the pretty colors fool people by making them want to walk into the casinos and freely give them money.

Dang '85, there's plenty of OU gear at the Sam's in Norman. I bought my Champeenship shirt there a couple of days ago. I also saw a bunch Sooner stuff at Walmart & Dillard's.

I hear they invented this thing called the internet, and the rumor is you can buy goods there, including OU gear, without even leaving your house!

I looked for coats before we went up there for the Tech game and couldn't find anything heavier than a lightweight jacket. I ended up wearing an Underarmour Cold Gear shirt, a sweatshirt and a Nike Oklahoma windshirt to the game.

If you want t-shirts or sweatshirts you can find those all day online but outside of that (or larger sizes) you are pretty much S.O.L. without hitting stores who have the stuff. I have to try stuff on to see if it fits as every XXL isn't the same size so that pretty much limits my ability to buy stuff online.

I have noticed how the OU stuff is picked over compared to the OSU stuff up there or the UT stuff down here. The manager at The Finish Line here said that he sells out of whatever OU stuff he gets in about a week. We will go shopping for OU and Tech stuff in Dallas and when we head to OKC to see my family, I bought the windshirt at Dick's Sporting Goods in Frisco. Sams in OKC/Norman is great if you happen to be there the day that it is put out, after a week all that left is safety orange crap. I know because we always stop by the one there to see if they have any OU stuff when we are there. We stop by the one in Midland or Odessa when we are out there to look for Tech stuff for my wife.

^^^ No, it doesn't at all :D

Just like when we look in Dallas, they have the Texas schools (UT, Tech, aTM), the DFW schools (SMU, TCU) and OU in decent quantities. Then you look at other schools and there will be more ND, UNC, Michigan and tOSU stuff than there will be Boone State stuff there. I think it is kinda funny, of course I remember when The Big Red Shop and around campus were the only places that you could find any OU gear.
