I am trying to get there for the game. Too save money my BIL and I are thinking about camping out. How many safe camping areas are there close to town?

Most importantly how cold does it get. Need to know which sleeping bag to bring.

Bring the warmer one. I camp in the Utah desert, and it gets freaking cold.

Or make your own call:

It won't get below freezing. Do you have a list of the closest campsites to the stadium or do you need some ideas?

Check campsites in the area of the Superstitution Mountains. Read up on them before you get there and you will find some gold the Catholic priests left there when the Indians ran their arses off. The desert at night gets cold so think in terms of deer camp for a sleeping bag.

I am bringing my RV as well. There are a lot of parks around....but be careful if you are under 55 ......they will not let you in. Kinda a legal discrimination thing. I called over 15 RV parks before I found one that would let the wife and I in........sux but it can be done.

Drop me a line if you want to compare notes...haha!!! :D

We will be getting there on the 30th and leaving on the 2nd. Would be GREAT to have a lot of my fellow sooners around in the campground!!
