The DO today listed all time bowl victories by school:

Alabama - 30

SUC - 28

OU, Penn State, Tenessee - 24

GA, GA Tech, Red Corn, Whorns - 22

For future benefits -
I might have to root for the little brothers this time.

I was already going to root for the Blue Corn.

This year -
We can do no better than reduce our three-way tie for third to a two-way tie for third. But that will be progress.

This is a little off topic, but didn't OU just pass Bama in the number of 10+ win seasons? I think they were tied coming into the season at least.

In the history of major college football, no team has had more seasons with 10 or more wins than Oklahoma. The Sooners have amassed 29 seasons with 10 or more victories -- the most of any program in the nation.

Oklahoma is currently 11-2 in 2006 with a bowl game remaining. Alabama, 6-6 in 2006, has no chance to move up.

Oklahoma's enduring success on the gridiron is further reflected in the fact that the Sooners have recorded seasons with 10 or more wins in eight different decades since the first double-digit win season in 1915 (10-0).

don't tell bama fans that they can't reach 10 wins this year. that will surely put a damper on their national championship hopes.

I'm not so sure about that. I think they won all four of their pre-season intrasquad games. That puts them at the 10 win mark for the year. :D

Anyone other than me remember when Bama's coach guy with the hat used to dodge Big-8 teams in bowl games. He'd play pretty much anywhere that we weren't.

I certainly do. I also remember Dr. Tom going off on him one year.
