Wow...looks like the Sooners are bringing out the UT style recruiting and picking guys up early for the future. We just got another commitment from Daniel Franklin, a LB prospect out of GA. That makes two VERY talented guys for 2008 already. keep it rollin sooners...looking great.

So he's verbally committed or we're just recruiting him?

Verbally committed...sorry, forgot to specify that. "Solid verbal" on rivals

Thanks. Recruit<>Commitment but I suspected that that's what you meant. :)

How secure could a recruit that is still a year away be?

I don't have much faith in these HS junior recruits.

Texas got committments from at least 19 juniors last year. That is, High Schoolers who committed while they were still juniors and are still committed.

While alot can happen between now and then, and he could very well change his committment, I still take it as a good sign.

OU as of right now if they take a full class of 18 this year and gives Cohen a scholarship for his sr year, will have 15 Graduation Seniors on Scholarship leaving, therefore making atleast 15 available before attrition and early entrants in the 08 draft.

By the time signing day comes for the 08 class I'd put it alot closer to 20 then 15.
