I've been roaming the tidefans message board, and these people think Bob Stoops is a real possibility for their next head coach. I've posted a few times there that there is NO CHANCE, ZERO, ZILCH that Stoops even CONSIDERS the Alabama job?

Anything in Sooner land about this? Any more knowledgeable people with some insight?

Bob isn't interested.

He actually lives on an island near the Bahamas.

Our current coach is a robot designed by Bob.

Can you get me names and addresses of those people that think Stoop's would consider the Bama job? I have some used toilet paper that is worth a lot of money that I need to sale.

I swear, these people are ****ing retarded if they really believe Stoops is going to come to one of these schools, just to get fired after having one below average season.

In my opinion, no. That being said, I am getting tired of people accepting as "fact" that OU has as much tradition as we do. Does OU have tons of tradition? Yes, they do, but not as much as we do. They have us beat on Heisman winners but that's about it(they have vessels, sims, owens, and white, while we have none). It's hard to find much of anything that their program did of noteworthiness before 1950, when at the same time we were winning rose bowls and NC's in the '20's and '30's. Do they have a lot of tradition? Yes, but we have more. and we have better facilities.

I would sorta like to see Bammer screw their own aggy, and hire Tommy Tuberville away from the Plainsmen, er..War Eagles, er..Tigers.

No way Bob goes to another college job. NFL down the road maybe. He knows what he has and has built at OK. Big fish in little pond...even though he could be a big fish in the NFL with the proper scenario.

Paul "Bear" Bryant invented National Championships.......mythical and otherwise.
