In 6 seasons with a seventh yet incomplete, the University of Oklahoma has won 18 more games than were won in the entire decade of the 1990s.

OU has clinched their 7th bowl appearance in the 2000s, compared to 4 in the 1990s. Of those 7 bowls, 6 were played in the New Year. None in the 1990s were played in the New Year.

OU has won their fourth conference championship in the 2000s. No conference championships were won in the 1990s.

OU has compiled a record of 14-3 agaisnt Nebraska, Colorado, and Texas in the 2000s. This compares to 3-21-2 in the 1990s.

OU has finished in the top 10 five out of the six complete seasons in the 2000s and will not finish out of the top 25 in any season of the decade thus far. OU did not finish in the top 10 in any year in the 1990s, finishing in the top 25 only three times.

Really makes you appreciate the good fortune we've had these past few seasons, eh?

In summary:

1990's = bad

Stoops did it all with Blake's recruits.

No way OU wins the other night without Blake's recruits playing for Nebraska.

Well, the 90s DID feature hypercolor shirts and overalls as a fashion statement. Can we really completely dismiss a decade like that?
