Anyone been?

If so, would you recommend it?

Gotta find somewhere to go next month for a week. The girlfriend likes to scuba, and I like to gamble, so it seems like a perfect fit. But I've read some poor reviews here and there, and wanted some more info.

Maybe you'll stumble across the Holloway girl, and be an internatl. celebrity!(it's very near Aruba)

if by "stumble" you mean "swimming with the fishes", then yes, possibly.

Never been to that resort, but I guess it depends on what kind of vacation you are looking for.

Personally, I am a beach bum and just like laying out at a beach doing nothing, and scuba diving/snorkeling, etc. And Curacao doesn't strike me as having great Caribbean beaches.

Another thing, I take what Tripadvisor.com says on these places all the time. Its pretty much dead on with the user reviews overall.

And Breezes doesn't make out so good on this.

Also, I find renting a condo from a local to always be much better than the big *** resort thing. Usually much better locations and you can save some real money. www.vrbo.com is a must.

That's the site that I saw all the negative reviews on. We may be looking elsewhere now, allthough we aren't picky...just need somewhere to drink, scuba, gamble, and has a serious lack of snow. :D

I love caracao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have been several times. If your a diver, check out the shipwrecks. The sister ship of the titanic resuce ship was sunk on one side of the island and a Nazi freighter was sunk on the other side. THey kept the soldiers as prisoners on the island. After WW2. the prisoners moved back and helped develop the island! funny. The floating bridge is cool, Visit the ecco store if you love great shoes. WE also dived with the sharks and stingrays and sea turtles. . You do not have to be a certified diver to do this. all the animals (sharks and turtles) are behind glass walls 15 ft underwater and you feed them fish through holes and get video taped doing this. It was about 65 per person and 35 for the video. It was really fun if you don't have any certified divers in the family. Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
