just ran through and added these up in my head, so they may be off but. SEC--bowl take 47 mil, big 10--bowl take 43 mil, big 12 bowl take 27 mil. the freakin cotton bowl only pays 2.5 mil sheesh, no wonder they're considered a secondary bowl anymore. the capital one bowl pays over twice that, the outback bowl pays more than that, and chick-fil-a bowl pays almost that much. weedberg needs to drop the cotton bowl for the big 12 runner-up and sign the capital one bowl or kick dallas and ATT in the butt for some more green. no wonder they moved the big 12 office to dallas. ATT and the city of dallas are probably greasing every palm in the big 12 officehttp://www.collegefootballpoll.com/bowl_games.html.

Getting two teams into the BCS only rakes you 4.5 Million per conference, the rest is divided up amongst the NCAA teams.

so the capital one bowl, payout 5.3 mil (which as far as I know isn't a bcs bowl) rakes their conference ties in more than a bcs bowl? Capital One
Orlando, FL
$5,312,000 (per team payout) weedberg should be polishing his knee-pads every month in an orlando hotel

The Big XII officials are the most overpaid, underachieving, G.O.B.'ing nitwits in NCAA football. Too much SWC influence.

So if the Big XII had two teams in the BCS one would get their share of $14-17 million and the second would only get a share of $4.5 million? How does the Big XII determine which team gets what or do the BCS people determine that?

The way the Big XII works is that the payouts are divided by 13 and the team in the bowl gets 2/13 of that money and 1/13 of the other teams' bowl payouts. I'm not sure where the expenses come out.

they weren't killed. Add in the take from the Big 12 C. which is around $20M

I heard the start had been moved up to 4 am so it wouldn't conflict with the Rose Bowl parade. And if the temperature at kickoff is above freezing then the game would be rescheduled.

The Alamo Bowl is going to rake it in this year. Lots of poor *** Longhorn fans that haven't been able to afford to go to a bowl game in a while are going.

Of course, I have my ticket order in.

Not to mention they have to pay 19% APR.
