Anyone that thinks "Any Given Sunday" was a good football movie should be kicked in the nuts. The only reason you liked it because it had Jessie Spano topless.

Scott Bakula is Rhett Bomar's dad. That is why he chose to play for Texas State Armadillo's after being bounced at OU

All the Right Moves, Varsity Blues = closest thing to realism.

Necessary Roughness was pretty funny though.

Norf Dallas 40, The (original) Longest Yard, Brian's Song, Remember the Titans, also pretty good.

The one the Rock made was OK, I'm still waiting to see the Christian football movie (can't think of the name, something about Giants or Titans)

Unfortunately, that's not the only nudity in the film.

The fact that nobody has mentioned Friday Night Lights is proof that we don't like our football movies to be depressing. It was a heck of a movie, though.

Goldie Hawn was nekkid in Wildcats. I approve. Plus Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson in their first sports movie together.

The Longest Yard is probably the best, though.

How about "Johnny B. Goode," with Anthony Michael Hall as the highly recruited high school QB? Also featured Uma Thurman (think this was her first movie).
