If Rutgers ends up winning (down 20-17 in the 4th right now) I think they have an argument. If it were Louisville or Boise St I wouldn't support them but Rutgers I can support.

Michigan had its shot at Ohio State; Florida deserves one, too. If Michigan gets in, the SEC is gonna have a fit.

What about a 12-1 Oklahoma, the robbery in Oregon is bigger than ever now. Compare our loss to the shorthorns to SUCs 2 losses to unranked teams.

Michigan already had their shot. Give it to Florida.

MICHIGAN. theyll win at a neutral site.

I'm in the belief that Michigan had their chance and they didn't win their conference. Florida, on the other hand, did. Therefore, the Gators deserve the chance to take on the Bucknuts.

Were not a better team than Michigan or Ohio State, we might beat them on a good day but 8 times outta 10 their better teams.

MICHIGAN. theyll win at a neutral site.
So in effect, the first game was pointless if that happens.

Even if we had beaten Oregon, Michigan or Fla. would have gotten the second BSC position in the end. Michigan's only loss was to the No. One team, and they have a win over a top ten team, Wisconsin. Our only loss would have been to a Texas team which faded big time. Michigan would have had a higher ranking in one of the two main polls and a lot stronger power rating in some of those computer rankings.

It is for the best if OSU plays Michigan in the BCS title game. I think Ohio St. is clearly the best team in the country, with Michigan second. Let's not worry about what ifs and just savor a highly satisfying season, overcoming terrible adversity to win a fourth Big XII Title in a storied matchup, winning 11 games so far, getting into a BCS game, a high ranking, reminding Nebulon where they belong - conference runner-ups.

Meechigan had their chance....AND THEY LOST!!! My feeling is that Florida can match their team speed and they may actually have a chance to beat them....decisively. I AM SAYING IT NOW....MARK IT DOWN....THE GATORS WILL BEAT THE BUCKEYES FOR THE MNC!!!

It's not really about already having a chance, it's about who's the best two teams in the country and I'd have to go with OSU and Michigan. Florida, after losing to Auburn, won their next 5 games by a total of 21 points and they were all unranked opponents. Hardly impressive.

The only reason that I'd like to see Florida in there would be so Michigan can go to the Rose Bowl to play USC, leaving LSU out.

Before Saturday I thought the 2 best teams were Ohio St. and Michigan. I still do. If the 2 best teams were Oklahoma and Texas or Oklahoma and Nebraska, that's what the matchup should be. I'm not even sure the SEC was the best conference this year, let alone every year.

Michigan did not win it's conference. A conference that is mediocre at best.

Sorry Michigan.

Amen.

It doesn't matter if you're the second best team in your conference. It doesn't matter if you've already had a shot. It doesn't matter that you lost your last game.

If you are the second best team in the country, you deserve the shot.

If the polls and computers deem Florida to be #2, fine...they deserve it.

But I sure hope the human voters think about who they truly think the #2 team in the country is and not let the peripheral nonsense cloud their judgement.

I say we enjoy a hard fought season of adversity that we crowned with another Big 12 Championship and here's to AD running through Boise St. getting the rushing record at OU!!!!

Palm says it's likely to be Florida/Ohio State:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/stewart_mandel/12/02/florida.michigan/1.html

Basically, he says the win over Arkie will give them enough juice to pass Michigan.

If I were a coach voting in the poll, I'd be voting with an agenda, and that would be preventing a rematch. I'd send Florida.

Let's jump down the rabbit hole for a second.

What if the Oregon game is called correctly?

Then, what if we had the +1 system in place?

Imagine a Rose Bowl matchup on the afternoon of January 1st between #1 Ohio State and #4 Oklahoma, followed by a Sugar Bowl matchup that evening between #2 Florida and #3 Michigan.

Then let the winners of those two games play the next week in BCS Championship game in Glendale.

Michigan did not win it's conference.

So we shouldn't have played in the Sugar Bowl in 2003?
