SETTING THE STAGE: Oklahoma and Missouri State meet for the second game of a two game set this weekend…Oklahoma scored four goals in the third period last night to pull away from Missouri State, beating the Ice Bears 6-2…The Sooners are now 11-0-0 all-time against Missouri State.

OKLAHOMA NOTES: Sooners forward Owen Brewer and defensemen Robert Hetrick and Greg Curtiss each had a goal and an assist last night…Defenseman Mark Tylka, along with forwards Luke Rose and Wil Petty, had the other goals for OU last night…The Sooners more than doubled Missouri State’s shot output yesterday with 40 official shots on goal compared to 16 for MSU…OU forward Doug Gebbie sat out last night’s contest due to a game disqualification penalty received in the last Michigan State game but is eligible to play tonight…OU was 1 of 4 on the power play last night…Oklahoma goaltender Aaron Schmeilski now has a record of 10-0-0…Goaltender Ryan Anderson is expected to start in net tonight for OU…Dating back to March 3rd of this year, the Sooners have won their last 19 games…Oklahoma is 39-12-1 all-time in games played on Saturdays and 26-7-0 in Saturday games played at the Blazers Ice Centre.

MISSOURI STATE NOTES: Forward David Ellis scored both goals last night for the Ice Bears…Missouri State is now 1-4 in games against ACHA D1 opponents this season…This is the sixth season of ACHA hockey at Missouri State…Head Coach Benjamin Alexander has been with the MSU hockey program since its inception…The Ice Bears were 0 for 5 on the power play last night…MSU broadcasts all of their games on Web Sports Radio (www.websportsradio.com).
