Ok heres the real deal , cops couldnt get the story right . go figure
Its in the DO
Joshua Lantz of Tulsa died after the canoe in which he was riding with two other people overturned, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

The canoe's other occupants, ages 27 and 20, survived.

The accident occurred near Cameron, which is northeast of Poteau and near the Oklahoma-Arkansas border.

Lantz drowned about 4:30 p.m. Friday, the report states. He was not found in the water until about 8 p.m.

Lantz was not wearing a flotation vest when the canoe flipped over, according to the report.

The two survivors both were wearing personal flotation devices, according to the trooper's report.

After an unusually heavy fall snow, the waters of the Poteau River were more than four times higher Friday than they were several days ago, according to U.S. Geological Survey data.

that's too bad.

Wear a life vest, especially when the water is that cold.
