NFL franchies, boosters, Alumni, suporters and OU should all chip in to increase the base salary of Bob Stoops to 5 mil/ years and each of the assistance coach a base salary of 800K/ year.

My opinion.

he needs a raise.... Think about, why take a chance on losing him for a 5 million dollar job in the NFL (Cowboys). After we win and go to another BCS bowl this year, that will make 5 in his 8 years, jsut the money OU gets from the BCS games covers his pay..... prior to him (recent history) we werent getting any big pay days to play bowl games....

he has always said he is not interested in the NFL or any other college coaching job. it doesn't appear that money is the main motivator for Stoops, at least based on his comments in the past.

p.s. you know, it's really hard for me to even imagine the $3.5million per year wouldn't be enough.

He's worth every damn penny. This University and this state are different when our football team is winning. We love and need him in Oklahoma.

Paterno has been in litigation in order to keep his salary a secret. I'll bet osus Gundy was promised a huge bonus as an incentive to beat OU.

Question: How much did Mike Stoops make at the time he left Oklahoma?

One game in Norman probably pays Bob's salary. I would be all for giving him 4.5 and me .5 million.

Chuck is making 700,000 base salary at SDSU....pretty nice

i was thinking ~900kThanks. Then it looks as if he remained about the same if you add the salary/income together, but he does have a $395,000 bonus incentive.
I wish he would come back.

Does anyone have a photo of Bob's Stoops house? I bet it is huge. Money goes a lot farther in Oklahoma....than say CA or FLA. Bob has it made and knows it.

Dood! They don't have PICTURES of everybody's house on there. THE PICTURE of his house is what I'm talking about. THAT isn't public record.
