Actually, Dean isn't that crotchety. I like the dude. It just seemed appropriate.

You ain't trying to have fun in a 'run down other people's fun' thread, are you?

Frozen Sooner
11/28/2006, 06:12 PM
I'm always tryin' to have fun when BSG is around. The addition of BSG to a thread is like the addition of MSG to Chinese food. Makes everything slightly sweeter, a bit more tart, and a lot spicier.

Did you just call her a tart?

Frozen Sooner
11/28/2006, 06:21 PM
Possibly. But only in the nicest of ways.

If she were a tart, she'd be a blueberry tart-queen of all breakfast pastry.

Plus, it'll kill you if you have too much of it.

:D

So, you wanna pretend that we're the only ones that can see this thread and just get our chat on? How's it going? How's the family?

Frozen Sooner
11/28/2006, 06:29 PM
Other than insomnia kicking my tail all over the place, things are good. Everyone's relieved that Aaron's back safe and sound from Iraq. Mom and Step-dad are heading off to Scottsdale for the winter at the end of the week. Both cats are healthy, so that's always a plus.

You and the hubby doing well?

This thread went significantly downhill after post #1.

It actually peaked in the subject title.

Frozen Sooner

On the bright side, the first derivative at post #14 was equal to 0, and the second derivative at that same post is positive.

That's nerd humor right there.

That's OK.

Sometimes I sleep, sometimes it's not for days.
The people I meet always go their separate ways.

Speaking of insomnia...

Lately I just can't seem to get a good night's sleep. I get a couple of decent hours a night and that's it. I wake up all the time...I toss and turn...when I do finally fall asleep it's hollow so I never feel like I've really got any rest.

I don't like to take anything that makes me sleep because I feel like a$$ the next day...

What to do...what to do...

Well, I'll be up anyway...

:D

Seriously, if I had the answer, I'd be doing it. That's how my insomnia started-I'd keep waking up in the night. It's now gotten so bad that not only do I wake up several times, there's always one night a week where I get to sleep about 11:00, sleep until 1:00, then that's it until about 5am.

It's freaking MISERABLE.

HEY! I have an ideer! The next time one of us can't sleep we'll call the other and have them read one of Pat's crappy threads out loud! Yeah!

What in the name of Judas H. Priest dropping hits of the butterfly are you freaks talking about?

Insominia? Give me a ****ing break. Here's the deal. Get up at about 0530. Slap on some overalls, some boots, and go feed cows. At 0630, get in the shower. At 0715, leave for work. Work until 1630. Go home, put on the overalls again, check cows, check fence, feed cows, cut some wood if neccessary, and move a few bales of hay. After dark, go inside, take a hot shower, have momma serve you some pork chops, smashed taters, brocolli, cauliflower, pickled okra, home made bread, and then some old school popcorn and pecan pie or pumpkin pie, or baklava sent from Detroit.

You will NOT have insomnia. In fact, you will have the exact opposite of insomnial (whatever the **** that's called). I'm dang near 50, and I sleep like a baby's baby.

What, colicky and squalling for milk every few hours?

BlondeSoonerGirl
11/28/2006, 07:54 PM
See, I get up at 5:15...do a load of laundry or something...get in the shower at 6:00. Leave the house at 7:15.

Work until at least 7:00...run errands...do stuff that needs to be done and get home at 8:00 ~ 8:30. Find something to eat...do other stuff that needs to be done...by the time it's time for bed I'm freakin' exhausted.

My body's so, so tired but my mind won't shut down long enough to let me go to sleep. And then when I can't sleep I get mad because I know I'm gonna feel like crap in the morning because I didn't rest enough.

Need a ranch hand, Dean? I gots some overalls...I'm not kidding. :D

OH. I forgot the secret ingredient. Karma.

I am happy to be doing my dealio. I'm content. My conscience is clear. I do not steal, lie, cheat, or engage in any other deviant behavior. I love my wife dearly, she loves me likewise, my kids and grandkids know I'm for real, my bills are paid, my future is secure, and I flat out love my life. I thank God every single day for providing me with the gifts He's given, I prefer fresh air over bar stank, and at 50, I can still pump more blood down there - sans viagra or whatever else other dick hardeners there are - than the average 20 year old.

Yes indeedy, I sleep well.
