What kind of Doc are you?

Do you do back work - sciatic nerve type stuff?

I ain't looking for 'free advice'

Just thinking of options.

If this don't get better, I'm going to be in alot of trouble

I think he is a witch doctor. He can fix your back, but it will require him dancing around an open fire in your front yard and he may have to bite the head off of a chicken. Not sure if that is one of the options you are considering.

Family medicine.
I see lots of people with back pain. I really just try to buy time with NSAIDs, Flexeril and rest until the back usually gets better. I don't do a lot of work with the sciatic nerve necessarily. Usually if you aren't getting better in a few weeks, I'll get an MRI and/or send you to someone (Physical therapy, neurosurgery if it's bad enough).

Eye doctor/OBGYN

Had a classmate who said he was going to be an oral gynecologist. Don't know if he ever graduated or not.:O

OK- it's been two weeks - my entire leg was numb and in pain - but now it's just down to my foot, but the pain is friggin' intolerable sometimes. I'll give it a few more days.

oh- and thank you.

I always considered chiros to be quacks, but I was at my wits end a few years ago I was in so much pain, and the meds were affecting me big time, so I thought what the hell and went to one.

Did it for 4 weeks, and by God, I didn't have ONE problem for nearly 4 years afterwards.

Not saying they aren't quacks still, but it worked for me, and if I have the same problem with my lower back again, I will go back in a flash instead of taking more meds.

At this time of year, I am reminded of Cousin Eddie's words to the Griswold family after his surprise appearance at Christmas: "Little Ruby Sue fell down a well and her eyes crossed, then she got kicked by a mule and they uncrossed. <shrugging>"

That doesn't make the mule an eye specialist. ;)
