I wonder how Ken Stabler feels about Plummer being called "The Snake?"

I like Plummer and he's one of the few Idaho kids to do well in the "bigs". Merrill Hoge was another. I did get to watch Cutler for a couple of years against the SEC and he was a very polished QB surrounded by a bunch of smart and well-meaning kids who weren't nearly as big, mean, fast, or talented as their competition.

It needed to happen. And I can't believe you left Stink, Mark Schlereth, off your list.

Schlereth isn't even on this list: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/features/1999/states/idaho/

#23 is my great uncle, Italo J. "Babe" Caccia. He was the AD at ISU during their NC year in 1981. Also coached baseball and wrestling there and won a Grey Cup in the CFL as the coach. I wish he'd write an autobiography.

Plummer is from Idaho but went to college at Arizona State. Schlereth is from Alaska and played for the Univ. of Idaho Vandals. http://www.carrasco.net/sports/nfl-football/players/MarkSchlereth/main.html

Back on topic, I hope Cutler does well.

I forgot Shlereth was from AK. I knew he went to Idaho, I just thought he grew up there too.

Plummer is done in Denver. They will release him or trade him in the offseason. There is no looking back with Cutler now. Unlike Romo or Rivers who have had a few years to learn the offense and practice at the NFL level, Cutler is pure rookie.

I will not be surprised to see Denver pick up Brunell in the offseason to be their backup. Unless Brunell decides to hang it up. Denver wanted him a few years ago, but couldn't pry him from Jax. He's a decent safety net for a year or two.

Brunell would be a great tutor too!
