I'm thinking of going without a ticket. What do you folks think of the availability outside the game for a decent single on the Sooner side?

I've checked the ticketmaster site and it keeps wanting to put me with the cornheads. HubStub has a few but they're scalping em pretty good.

I have gone to every big XII game in KC w/o a ticket and I always pay the temperature. YOu just have to be patient. You should have no problem finding a ticket.

I have been to the last 3 the Sooners have played in. The first year I bought when they opened for sale. When I arrived I was offered numerous tickets for half of what I paid. Ever since then I have never gone with tickets. You can get them anywhere from face to $5 bucks. If you don't score, go back to the bar and watch it with the fans there.

we were lower level on the 30 or 40 i think in 2004 for like $35

might be a little tougher this year... we've never played Nebraska up there

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!!

Nebraska is the X Factor on tickets this year. When it was Colorado in Houston and in KC there were tickets everywhere. Even when it was K-State in KC both times still plenty of tickets. This year not so much I am guessing.

With that being said I wouldn't think it would be hard to find a single.

Thanks for the replies. I was a little concerned about the Nebraska factor but I don't think a single will be a problem.

I have found some good flight rates coupled with car rental at priceline.com. However, everytime I go to finalize the deal the screen keeps telling me they can't guarantee me car rental availability. That's a problem. Now, if I can get a human on the phone to tell me I can get a car I'm gonna go.

There should be cars available once some horn fans start canceling
their reservations. We got game tickets on the corn side from a horn
off ebay for face value.

As far as seating it doesn't really matter. It's not like the Cotton Bowl. The entire stadium is mostly mixed fans.

What's the story with these parking passes. Last I went was the game we don't speak of and I Got a pass with my ticket. Are these necessary?

seems like parking at the stadium was like $10 or something, i don't remember it being much of an issue

If it were me I would take the shuttle. It's ten bucks per person round trip and they have stops in KC and the burbs. Otherwise, you don't need a parking pass, you can just pay for parking at the gate. Last year it was $25 per car. I would imagine the same this year.
