Did the information I posted earlier this week help anyone. Just wondering.

We sold about 350k worth of tvs in the past 3 days. Prices were beyond ridiculous. Unfortunately the manufacturers price drops end at midnight tonight. so .................. back to the real world.

Hey, 85Sooner... I've been thinking about doing a projector/screen combo rather than a LCD/Plasma TV. Any thoughts?

I really thought about it, but I'm holding off until Jan/Feb of 2008 to get one. Only because I'm out of the US until then

If you're willing to accept my thought in lieu of 85Sooner, I'd ask you what application you're going to be using the projector/screen combo for.

Please tell me that you tried to haggle with them in Arabic. :D

(I actually felt so guilty about pumping a salesman for info after reading 85's post on it that I wound up buying speakers from him the next day. They're good speakers at a good price, mind you, but I felt bad for pumping for info.)

The projector combo is really awesome for a football game or what not but it's really hard to do correctly in just your living room/every day use.

You can get some really good 2000 ansi lumen projectors for a couple of grand. It's been awhile since I've done this so I'm assume prices have dropped since then.

For a dark room it would be great. Just remember. do it once, do it right and be happy.

We had a screaming deal this weekend for a
Sony VPLVW50 1080p LCOS PRojector (the only 1080p under 9000.00
with a 120" screen
Sony ES 7.1 Receiver and
Paradigm Cinema 90 Speaker System

for 6997.00. A big upgrade on speakers for an additional 550.00. WE sold out and have many on backorder.
This was a crazy weekend. I never , ever have had to use the cost over ride code so much in my life. ( this is used when selling things below cost. )

Thank's 85.

My parents bought 46" Sony LCD XBR2 for 2999.99 on Friday. Also got discounts on furniture and over the air antenna.

The same store had the 40" in their ad on sunday for 3099.99.

You gotta love my Mom. After I told her about our correspondence, she wanted to know where you worked so she could buy from you. I said, well, he's in another state.
