Ancient rivalries abound in college football. Most have the prize of an old an venerated trophy, often colorfully named, always bitterly contested. Michigan vs. Minnesota for The Little Brown Jug. Purdue vs. Indiana for The Old Oaken Bucket. Oklahoma vs. Texas for The Golden Hat. Stanford vs, Cal for The Stanford Axe. Ole Miss vs. Mississippi State for The Golden Egg.

Oklahoma vs. AggyLite is for the ****** Bell, a "trophy" invented a few years ago by a bank as a marketing promotion to commemerate the most lopsided rivalry in the history of NCAA football.

we should just chuck it at the Horsepigs. Maybe we can kill a Horsepig and break the bell in one fell swoop

They keep it somewhere on an admin assistant's desk in Castiglione's office. Nobody wants it on their desk. They don't keep it in the Switzer center.

I agree...bogus is the right word for that "trophy"
OU is THE team of the state of Oklahoma and we don't need a "trophy" to prove it...History does that for us all by itself.

I think they use the "trophy" as the salvation army bell ringer....
