Rice beat SMU today in the "They Still Have Football Programs?" Bowl. Rice's victory most likely assures them a berth in the New Orleans Bowl, sending Tulsa (hopefully) to the Fort Worth Bowl.

Todd Graham has done a nice job at Rice. Phil Bennett has at SMU for that matter too.

Yeah, as Baylor watches both Rice AND SMU finish the regular season bowl eligible as they sit at home once again, bowl ineligible, they're probably kicking themselves for forcing us to take them as part of the "package deal" when we formed the Big 12. They could be making hay if they were in a mid-major conference where they belonged...but instead they're aggy's bitch. :D

Offtopic, but I was wondering what yall think about the poll situation. With Arkansas, WVU, Texas, and Notre Dame currently losing, shouldn't we end up ahead of all these teams?

Shouldn't Stoops done some politicing and reminding voters that OU should be the highest ranked 2 loss team due to the raping at Oregon?

I liked Rice when they had the triple option last year.

Now, not so much.

word down here is still SMU going to the Fort Worth Bowl to play TCU. It would be a well attended game.

I think Applewhite is now a coach (maybe OC) at Rice. I know that he only lasted a year at Syracuse with Robinson.
