I went over to gopokes.com to congratulate them on a great game but they seem to have locked down their message boards after the game, so I'll do it here.

Well played, Pokes! See you next year in Norman!

I have to admit the Pokes are a very good team. They are playing well and deserve credit. Good game Pokes.

Yeah, they gave us all we could handle today. We were fortunate to get out of there with a win.

Well played Pokes!

I disagree we reverted to our early year defense

The Pokes are a good team. They are much better than their record. I knew this would be a very tough game. I kept looking for us to lock the game up and the Pokes kept pulling out first downs and scores. I'm a freaking nervous wreck but very happy right now!

I knew this game was going to give us fits. I'm am SSSSOOOOOO glad it's over! OSU is a dangerous team when they want to be, and they played up for us today. I also agree that they are a much better team than their record.

they are 6-6, but they always play above their heads against us in Stillwater.

Pokes have lots of talent. They will be good next year I'm not sure Bobby Reid is the best QB they have on the roster (see Robinson). OU played it very conservative in the second half, and it almost cost 'em.

But, that's ****** for ya. Congrats to the OU SOONERS!

Sucks to be Texas right now, eh?? Karma is alive - payback for the '01 OU vs. OSU shocker is complete!

Bobby Reid not in the game at the end...hmmm Jenni Carlson thinks he is Vince Young 2.0 but Gundy thinks he is Tone Jones 1.2

OSU is a fine team. Gundy is a good coach, IMO. They played well, adjusted well at the half on offense and played tough to the finish.

I agree that they put forth a great effort. However, since they did not win, I would hope they don't start shooting off their mouths about "Oh, we almost beat you. We should have won." and stuff like that. It was a solid attempt, and they should leave it at that.

Agree. We sat back in our comfy, soft zone, let 'em get a first down defense like earlier in the season and played 5-7 yards off their receivers. I think I saw ONE incompletion in the second half (except the last drive) and that's because it was tipped away in the endzone. That's not great Okie State offense, that's poor defense playing scared in a soft zone.

just another chapter of "poke chokes" and "moral victories"...

The last play was eerily reminiscent of the Brent Parker play.

Aggies played it by the script. Hope they're comfortable sharing the South basement with Baylor.

I have to admit it, even though I hate too,....but when the Pokes opened up their offense in the second half I got a little worried; even if for just a second!!! That along with a VERY conservative offense in the 4th qtr and OU gave the pokes a chance when they didn't have too!!!

BTW - Rumor is OSU is printing t-shirts that say; (front) OSU HAVE THE SOONERS BEAT; (back) until the end!!!

You're saying OU employed a "bend but don't break" defensive philosophy?

Truly, they gave us all we could handle and made some good adjustments on offense in the 2nd half.
Maybe it's because I don't have to rub elbows with poke fans all year long, but I only hate them for one week (or so) per year. One of my favorite families back in OK is full of OSU grads; no hate for them.

Maybe the would have won if they sold out the $600.00 tickets for the loyal fans....mmm. probably not

Aggie lite has such potential on offense but makes so many dumb coaching decisions. They aren't doing Bobby Reid any favors, that's for sure.

Vance Bedford should be fired.

Great thread and thanks for the respect. Overall this was a very dissapointing season for us because (as many of you said) we are much better than our record. But we will still get a bowl and I'm happy about that.

I've allready posted my praise to OU, so I'll just post the link here.
