What has changed the last dozen years to make ****** more competitive?

Scholarship limits. The parity. Because of the 85 aggregate scholarships, there is more talent in the pool out there to recruit. Oklahoma and Nebraska and Texas can't get all of them. That just leaves more players for everybody else. I think that people spread out their recruiting nationwide. I think a lot of schools go beyond their own home for talent and and that's probably a mistake, but they leave a lot of them that probably end up playing for other people.

I wonder if Barry Switzer implies on Oklahoma recruting today.

If so, it would be the pot calling the kettle black.

Don't read too much into the King's comments. His point about the 85 scholarship limit is spot on and has little to do with the SOONER recruiting, today or yesterday.

Here are the facts: Mack cleans house is Texas with OU getting our fair share. OU cleans house in at home and occassionally competes nationally for top talent.

I think Barry's comments are more geared towards USC, ND, and the likes of the old Nebraska.
