I wonder if those natives have an anti-semetic undertone in their dialogue.

I still want to see it.

I'll be interested to see how Mel avoids casting the Catholics as villains in this one. ;)

likewise. I don't care what opinions people choose to voice, sober or inebriated. Hell, if Hitler made a movie that looked good, I'd go see it.

A story that doesn't get told about Mel Gibson enough, by the way:

Apparently when Courtney Love was completely strung out on drugs and was basically locked in a hotel room with dealers who were keeping her doped up, Mel Gibson found out where she was and went over there and knocked on the door.

The dealers kept shutting the door on him, and he kept knocking, refusing to go away until they let her talk to Courtney. Finally, they did, and he left a couple of guys with them to keep them occupied while he took her out to breakfast and convinced her to straighten herself out. She checked in to rehab and supposedly has been clean since.

I guess he didn't even know her before then.

I find some of Mel Gibson's opinions disgusting, but that action was quite admirable. I don't know that I'd cross the street to **** on Courtney Love if she was on fire, but he took some personal risk to help her out without even knowing hier.

That's a good story.

And I'd like to kick him in the junk for doing it. She was well on her way and he messed it up.

Well, like I said, I probably wouldn't have done it, but he showed one of the traits of Christianity that I find most admirable there-extending charity to those you might find personally detestable.

I heard the story straight from Courtney, so it's not just internet rumor. She told it on the Tonight Show a couple of days ago.

Why do you want Frances Bean to be an orphan?
