AD OUT FOR OSU

Injured OU tailback Adrian Peterson will not play Saturday at Oklahoma State, OU head coach Bob Stoops said Monday.

Peterson has been out since he broke his collarbone diving into the endzone Oct. 14. Peterson had made it clear that he wanted to return for ******. Coaches, however, had been more reserved in their projections.

“The scan of — however they check him — showed it wasn’t completely healed so they’re not going to release him yet,” Stoops said.

Peterson’s return for a bowl game has not been ruled out.

The junior running back is just 150 yards shy of Billy Sims’ school record of 4,118 career rushing yards.

Would love to have him in there, but I would say we have done okay without him. I expect we'll continue that this weekend.

It's all a ruse... OSU will have a false sense of complacency which will evaporate when Peterson steps onto the field on Saturday.

AD will be in the game Saturday. Coaches have assigned him to "green shirt" duty, whereas he is to shove any punk wearing orange that tries to invade their sideline.

I bet Stoops puts AD in for a play or two but throws the ball down field. Just to mess with the polks.

I was thinking the same thing. Play action pass on the first play. Then keep him out for a series. Then play action pass on the next play. Then put him out in the slot. Three plays in 1 quarter would cause a lot of havoc.

Is there a limit on how many players can suit up for a game?
