Anyone hear this? Could be total ****.

The Sports animal is confirming Bob said this as well.

he has a doc appt. today to see if he's a go or not. James Hale said on the aminal this morning that we should know today what his status is, but not until after the dr's look at him...

So pokies are just getting their hopes up at this point :texan:

90/20 the aforementioned "poke board" has no ****ing clue what they're talking about.

Insider board sposted that James was just on the Sports Animal in Tulsa saying the X-rays were not good as they thought they would be and that he wasn't playing.

only if he's on the sideline watching, because his NFL team has a bye week.

I know, I was being facetious. Take the $$$ and split, AD, we appreciated every carry and every yard.

Now I really hope we get a BCS bowl so he can come back and beat the $hit outta some overrated top 10 team!

This won't make much of a difference. If he was totally healthy it might, but with him being out of workouts for a month and a half it probably wouldn't make much of a difference. His backups have shown that they are more than capable and the OU line has performed admirably.

You're kidding right? Yes the backups have done outstanding, but Peterson if cleared to play, would have motivated this team even more.

Is Allen Patrick gonna be 100%? We could sure use him.

Even with AD out, our 4th stringer ain't too bad.

Even with AD out, he's still on the side lines motivating. Chris Brown has really proved himself. It would really be great to see Chris and Allen in the back!!!!

I'm surprised Stoops released that info, expecially this early in the week. Prolly to head off the 32 questions he would get about it in tomorrow's presser.

Between that question and the shot at a BCS bowl...

I think it's a trap.

Bob SAYS he's not going to play AD, then puts him in to motivate the squad and catches an OSU defense off guard.

AD runs for almost 600 yards in this game alone and wins the Heisman trophy.

Goodness, Bob Stoops is one genius of a man.

Meh. Brown is better anyway. Peterson was such a dominating physical freak in high school that he never learned that it's sometimes better to run around a would-be tackler rather than over him. That's all fine and good when it's late in the game and the defenders are sick and tired of the punishment. Early in the game, when everyone is fresh, he has too many one and two-yard gains. Brown is more likely to take those same plays and hit a crease and make five or six yards.

Just look at Peterson's 1st half numbers throughout his career - they're weak. Look at how many 3 and outs OU has had in 1st halves because AD ran into the line for minimal gain on 1st and 2nd down. Brown gives us a better opportunity to consistently move the ball for the whole game.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, ha ha....hah.

he's been running, etc.

did you see his comeback vs. Nebraska last year? that was with a bad wheel and all.

Pokes are glad everywhere because AD averages 240 on them per game.

I wouldn't risk playing AD against the pukes anymore than Billy Tubbs risked wearing a good suit in Stillwater. If we were in the hunt for the NC it would be different, but I don't trust those losers or their 3 feet of sideline clearance.

Actually, I'd like to see him get a few carries this weekend, so he'll be used to the contact when he starts the CCG.

This really bummed me out when I heard this news earlier today. I know we'll be fine w/AP, CB, or JG carrying the ball, but I was really looking forward to AD being ready to play this weekend (for his sake and ours). I really want him to get the record. Hopefully they'll do a checkup again later in the week and change their minds. Sorry for the long post, I'm just bummed.
