After a dissapointing year it looks like Bama may play OK State in the Independence. Cant remember ever playing them in my lifetime, any game day suggestions?

Also, since you wear crimson, be prepared for them to repeatedly call you "gooners". It's unfortunate, but tunnel vision can do that to a fanbase. Any "conversation" with aggy can be easily ended by simply pointing over their shoulder and saying "Look, an Eskimo Joe's t-shirt stand!" and simply walk away while they fumble with their Green Stamps, asking "WHERE? WHERE?!?!" :eddie:

True. As scanning the stands during any aggy home game NOT involving OU, Texas, or Nebraska will attest, many aggy fans will come to the game dressed as empty seats.

They will probably be very congenial. They'll say things like how they were pulling for you when you played us in 02/03. Cuz their favortie teams are the pukes and whoever is playing OU that day. They have the shirts to prove it.

Don't forget to smile and nod as they show you their "12-0" medallions they got when they graduated with their degree in lawn care in 1996...and always double-check your order before you leave the counter.

aggy is notorious for not super-sizing your fries, even though you upsized your combo.

5. they will convince you that they are your friend
6. smile and nod when they take your order at (fill in the blank with fast food chain)

Make sure you have a copy of your UA degree or, failing that, at least a transcript or receipt for textbooks to present aggy upon request. Otherwise, you will be deemed a "bandwagon fan". Any attempts to reason that no bandwagoner in their right mind would follow a .500 team to watch them play in the Independence Bowl will only leave them befuddled. Remember, an elite programs "horrible season" looks an awful lot like aggy's "best. season. EVAR!!!!"

Mention how ironic you think it is that they have OU in dark bricks on their new 450 gazillion dollar stadium. They'll deny that it still exists, but you might mention that you saw it this year on a televised game.
Be prepared for them to ask you where the nearest pay phone is located.

that's ok, they can win a MNC with 3 stray dogs, a rubber eraser, 4 cheerleaders and an early graduating class of high school nerds.
It's tradition.

Besides, they're Crimson so they're cool. Roll Tide.
They'll be back in the hunt soon. As long as they can keep some of their boosters locked up. I think Shula will get the team going again.
At least, I hope so.

I remember some time in the late 70s or maybe early 80s my girlfirend went to OSU. We drove to the Independence bowl to watch her beloved Cowboys...well, being a Sooner fan I was a little board, it was super cold and they lost to boot. She made up for the long ride though.:)

Well it was a very disappointing season to say the least. However, your assessment of the recruiting could not be farther from the truth. Fran WAS the recruiting problem, he did not believe in an offensive line for some reason. Because he did not recruit any O-Lineman, I mean not one. Actually our recruiting is a bright spot. Our Sophomore QB just broke the team season passing record as an an example. Right now our O-line is a revolving door. Well, one side anyway, the left side is anchored by a true freshman some sites consider the number 1 or 2 recruit taken in the nation last year. But still, he is a true freshman.

Get ready to see hundreds of T-shirts which read, "Stoops, I did it again", which denotes the last time they beat us in 2002. That was the win which propelled them to their Houston Bowl invitation, and their big ten-point win over Southern Miss (their last bowl win).
