Wake Loss = Good
Rutgers Loss = Would be good
LSU Loss = Would be good
Maryland loss = Meh, whatever
Cal Loss = Would be good

USC needs to get it together...of all the games in action that can affect us, a win by Cal would be worst.
The more Cincinnati scores, the better.

If the championship game is OSU vs. mich and Cal beats USC and USC beats ND, who would be invited to the Rose Bowl? I'm thinking OU.

OU would be a much better Rose Bowl candidate than LSU or Auburn. Go Ole Miss!

Ole Miss has it 1st and 10 from their own 33 with 4:22 left, up by 6 on LSU.

LSU forced a punt, then ran into the kicker. Just running into, though, not roughing. Ole Miss faces 4th and 10 now, with 2:46 left. They should get to run some more clock before kicking it. I think LSU it out of timeouts.

I wish people would come to reality when it comes to teams like West Virginia, Louisville, Rutgers, Boise St. They usually have cream puff schedules.

None of those teams should be ahead of OU in the BCS.

Where is the playoff system? What happened to the outrage over the referee win at Oregon?

realistically it depends on both where voters put Rutgers and LSU. If Rutgers is given the 'standard' non-BCS conference treatment after a first loss (ala TCU, Boise St., Fresno St...etc) They'll probably drop to 16th. As it is, I'd expect them to drop at least 7 if not 8 spots in the polls this week, like most every undefeated team when they've lost a game this season. LSU could also get penalized much in the same way we did with the UAB voting debacle.

Once again, we're fine as long as we focus on the proper task at hand and that's getting ready for the morons to the north with their backwardass football field. Regardless of if Texas beats A&M or not, we're still potentially looking at a Top-10 ranking on the December 3rd polls.

Yeah, I'm not really all that worried about where LSU or Rutgers are ranked this week. They will both be underdogs next week. If they win those games, it doesn't matter all that much what happened this week...they'll be ranked ahead of us. If they lose those games, it doesn't matter all that much what happened this week...they'll be ranked below us.

Auburn and Boise are the two that intrigue me most. I don't see us passing Auburn this week...they played a team that was at least as tough as the team we played (and looks much better in the box score) so I don't see us moving much...especially with the New Orleans voter eliminated from the mix.

I also don't see us passing Boise State, although I think the happenings of this week put is in a good position for that possibility after next week.

We need Arkansas to win big, and we need to throttle OSU. Having AD back would help, especially if we get to 12. One of those BCS teams would be intruiged by AD's last game as a Sooner.

We could possibly pass Auburn in the polls - we were only a few points behind them even after the one pollster thought we lost last week. With the correction, it could move us ahead of them. Not sure if that will be enough to move our BCS ranking ahead of them, though.

The likelihood of that is reliant upon a) USC trouncing ND (very likely), b) LSU smashing Arky (possible, but unlikely), and Bowden's boys pulling off the upset of Meyer's Misfits.

Ummmm no they havent... they still have to beat a decent Nevada team at Nevadas house... On top of that I wonder if Louisville will lose a little since they lost to rutgers. Also If that a$$ had not have voted us 24th and voted Auburn 8th last week we would have been ahead of them in the AP (I know this doesnt count for the BCS just sayin it would have changed perceptions). Nevada's numbers look pretty good, basically until you look at their competition. Not that Boise's been playing much better competition, but it'd be pretty difficult to argue that a 1 loss team shouldn't be in the top 12 in that 'final' ranking which guarantees them that at-large bid.
