depends on the type of turkey I think. The Heritage turkeys they raise here in IL can fly a bit, but not very high or far. The white turkeys that comprise the bulk of thanksgiving turkeys can't I think.

Well feather my hair.

Why has WKRP not made the TVLand?

I like John Ritter, but WKRP.... well.... it needs to be on.

(I was going to say something about him being dead, but that isn't cool and all.)

I thought I read somewhere that there were now royalties issues involved, which is also the reason they've never been released on DVD.

Yeah , scared my dad to death. he was deaf for a day. funny though, he bragged to his friends how impressed he was with their show. They really do let it all hang out for the fans. seen em everytime since.

The deal with the music licensing is pretty interesting. Here (http://members.allstream.net/%7Ejacjud/wkrpmusic.html) is a link that explains why many of the songs originally used have been changed. Apparently it has to do with the fact that the show was originally shot on videotape.

I first noticed it when watching a rerun of a show in which a Russian guy fell in love with Bailey. The show originally had this great ending where the guy said "Hold me closer Tiny Dancer," then they played the song. For the Nick at Nite version, they actually had to scramble up that line of dialogue too, then play some weak muzak-sounding crap. I was all, "WTF?"

The sad thing is, a good many of the folks on this board never saw the episode live. The show was must see TV for me and my brother. Loni Anderson's jumblies. Oh yeah.

I agree, then pay the artists to see them in concert, that is where the artists are getting their dough.
