refresh my memory, what was the reason Alexander left OU?

Capel would like to have a senior with that kind of scoring average this year....

refresh my memory, what was the reason Alexander left OU?

He wanted and needed a change. His game was going nowhere. He's a scorer, and he wasn't being utilized in that role.

Nope. Academic improprieties.

Yep, I remember now.

My made-up reason sounds good though. :texan:

It may have been academics but I remember DA saying even before he got to UNCC that he needed to put his family in the best scenario for him to make the nba because he has a little daughter and he didnt think he could make it out of Kelvins system

Collier11, if you're going to negspek someone in retaliation, at least get the right person.

Or better yet, pony up some money and become a sponsor, so you don't have to guess at who did it.

If it wasnt you then I apologize, I assumed since you were the one who brought up the academic misconduct that you did it, my fault!

He may have said that, but supposedly his leaving OU was not his choice in any way. He was not going to be able to stay.

It does beg the question (although I know we probably would not have all of these guys etc, but just what if...)

What would Capel do if we added Lavender, Mac, DeAngelao, Reynolds, and Damion James.

Thanks for the above info. I saw the name in a box score of the USAO - ECU game and just wondered.

Damn, i forgot about foust....it'd be even easier to create an All "How the F*** are these guys D-1 players AND getting playing time" team.

PG - John Ontjes
SG - Alex Spaulding
SF - Johnny Gilbert
PF - Renzi Stone
C - Jason Yanish

I was hesitant to put him on the list, because of his bitchin' two level buzz cut, but i had to do it.

no way.....Ontjes was a decent PG (he could have helped us quite a bit last year) and Johnnie Gilbert came up big for the Big XII Championship 04 team down the conference stretch. Renzi played a couple GREAT games against UT and Chris Mihm.

All transfer team--though a bit different--Prince Fowler followed Billy to TCU.

Heskett was leading the conference in all-time 3 point % I believe before he hurt his thumb or whatever. he was alright....i wouldn't include him in the Yanish and Alex Spaulding of the world. though, again, ALex held Jason Terry to 13 points in the 99 NCAA's (somehow).

i fear that not all the froshies w/sherri will stay four years.

any nominees for coale's "not starting, so transfering now" team?

my nominee is abi olajuwon. there is no way she starts for the next 3 years... and likely 4. so much for our celebrity crowd :D

I'd put Josef Szendrei in there over Johnny Gilbert. Johnny actually did pretty well his last year here. And Szendrei - while a rebounding animal, was pretty much just there to foul some people. :D

Szendrei reminded me of a hockey goon......just a guy to go out there and pick a fight except he did it with fouls.

the whole "how the f*** are these guys d1 players" team is more of a testament to sampson on how he was able to win 20+ games with guys like this. He was always good at that, but if he didn't have his "guys" then the teams didn't work. and the teams that did work, never were able to win it all because they weren't talented enough. the perfect storm happened the final four year, because he had "his" pg and sg in hollis and quannas, and a scorer in ace mcgee. it was a team of players that could deal with him and more than anything had great chemistry, but their fatal flaw showed in the game against indiana where the fouls and bad shooting caught up with us playing kelvin ball. and that's kelly ogle's two cents, or maybe it's the 7 beers talking.

Well, the fouls, bad shooting, Quannas's ankle sprain, and Hollis's elbow...
