We've been out here in the armpit of the TX panhandle having to use a shared air card for our innerweb. The satellite took a dump (or my satellite setter upper skillz are lacking). The air card only gets one bar at best and diconnects frequently, and is paint watching dry slow--bad news when you have to send your reports out by email.
We have another connection through the rig but it connects as "limited or no connectivity". I talked to the driller & asked how he's been sending out his reports. He states the rig "let him on". Hmmmm. I started digging through my notes & found something that was strictly off the record--the getter onner IP, subnet, & DNS server addresses to our rig's innerweb provider.
I now have contra-broadband! YAY! :texan:
