There will be a modest caravan (OU Club of Austin folks) heading north at 8:30 Sat (including me, with the family). BTW, the OU Club of Waco congregates somewhere near Bob's Pawn across from the HEB on Dutton. I was told they won't have any Soonerfans tailgate action that early, but they'll be meeting there.

Can you swing down through Clinton, OK to pick me up? You probably need to swing out that far anyway to avoid all of the metro air traffic,

IFR straight over Dallas. I'd like to but, we are looking for a fourth to help split the cost and that would add a little bit to the trip.

I would take 121 South all the way to Ft Worth, and from there take I-35 South all the way to Waco.

I have to work.

FWIW, one of the best times I have had at an OU football game was in Waco (2002). Dean brought the RV down and I got to meet many posters.

Just curious as to the reason? Is there something going on in Fort Worth on Saturday? There will be a morning high school playoff game at Texas Stadium that morning at 10:00 am.

No. there alot of people that go there everytime and buy a ticket from scalpers or at the ticket office. Then, no matter where your seat is, just go sit with the sooners.

The parking lot of the Austin Marriott North, where the OU Club of Austin watch parties are. We're planning on heading out at 8:30.

From I-35 N: Exit 250, turn Right and proceed down 1325 1/4 of a mile. Turn Right on La Frontera Blvd. The hotel is 500 yards on the left.

From I-35 S: Exit 250, turn Left and proceed over the overpass and down 1325 1/4 of a mile. Turn Right on La Frontera Blvd. The hotel is 500 yards on the left.

You can also go north on MoPac and take SH45 East. Exit at La Frontera, turn left onto La Frontera Blvd. The hotel is 500 yards on the left.

Ah yes...Floyd Casey Stadium has a rich tradition of banners encouraging the firing of someone. A group of alumni got together and hired a plane to carry a banner around the stadium on game day that encouraged the university to fire our coach and AD.

How many people typically end up following each other up there? My father-in-law and I were planning on leaving Austin around 9/9:15. Do all you guys typically buy tickets near each other, or do you just try to get the best seats in the house?

Every seat is pretty much the same, the "best seats" are of course the boxes. Short of that it doesn't matter much. The section where the line sits isn't too bad I guess.

Why not?

Well, earlier in the season you couldn't have paid me to miss this game but I've grown pretty disenchanted. So, I think a friend of mine are driving up to Denton to meet with a mutual friend at UNT. I also have to drop someone off at the airport, but I could easily pawn her off onto someone else.

It's still kind of in the air so I could change my mind.

Some of it is, other parts..not so much. Get there early unless you're fine with parking on grass.

Pulling the RV down from Dallas Friday night because of the early start time. Hopefully, that nice gentleman that has stopped by the RV parking lot that past two OU/BU games @Baylor will stop by and give away more tickets. :)

Nope, like Sic'Em said, they're basically all the same. In my experience, once you get in, you can pretty much move around wherever :)
