Know Thy Victim
Heard a story on NPR this a.m. that made me laugh. Some dillweed, somewhere on the Fruited Plain, attempted to rob a used car dealership last weekend. The crook came in, ostensibly to enquire about a car on the lot, and even asked to take a test drive. The car lot owner thereupon asked to see the perp's DL, whereupon the crook placed his DL on the desk.
Then, the crook allegedly pulled a gun -- a piddly .32 "saturday night special," and demanded all the cash.
The used car dealer then pulled his concealed .38 and the crook bailed the scene on foot -- leaving his DL at the used car lot.
Of course, the alleged perp was picked up within 24 hours.
Oh yeah, the funny part? The used car lot guy was wearing his "NRA Life Member" ballcap at the time of the attempted robbery.:D
