CalvinBall hits the midwest! I predict a final score of 68-57. They'll have one of those famous 7:00 scoring droughts, except now it will say INDIANA DROUGHT instead of OKLAHOMA DROUGHT.

dickie v talked about how calvin "stole" a recruit from illinois and how it would have been appropriate to call bruce weber, the coach and apologize.

well, he hasn't yet. i imagine he's too afraid to use the phone now.

badger

that is true. i think he should also be afraid of looking at any officials the wrong way, or they might sanction him for that, too.

is this lafayette any good? they're only down by one.

shall we recruit some resident indy fans and teach them "fire calvin simpson" yet?

i thought the whole time it was louisiana-lafayette.

they are in the patriot league.

winner plays butler.

only a five point lead over team whoever? this is worse than pathetic for the beginning of the simpson era at indiana. ah well, they've done enough winning and they should share with teams like oklahoma :D

as crazy as it is, there will be many iu simpson doubters calling for his head if they lose.

i wonder if IU fans will enjoy KS telling them what to think about each game on his post-game comments. pretty sloppy.....

2 point game.

will this help ks's case for receiving upgraded facilities?

gawd, that point-to his-head-while-screaming really takes me back.

looks like the fightin' simpsons are going to pull away late.

75-60 with 5:19 to play.

butler might give them the business when they meet.

well, the SOONERS beat their patsy opponent while scoring 99 points. so, who needs simpson?!

gawd, that point-to his-head-while-screaming really takes me back.

i was thinking i don't miss that high pick about a step and half above the top of the key....where you make the first pass and everyone looks around confused because Bookout/Jabahri Brown are 25 feet from the basket....

oh well, i liked KS OK. he seems to have given this IU team the green light...because he'd have yanked half our lineup by now.

yeah, i saw that too.

i will give him credit for raising our expectations. i just think at a football school it helps to have a young coach that recruits want to play for. and a program where players can showcase their talents.

oh no... they wrote intensity on their arses again. kelvin must like their players staring at each other's butts or something.

Sure he's pulled away and won this one, but give it time, a few more wins under his belt and the old Naismith persona will emerge. It's a mathematical certainty.

Or maybe its possible that Calvin finally found something in basketball he thinks is bigger than he is.
