A local sportswriter had dropped OU to 24th on his AP ballot this week after "getting it in his head" that they lost Saturday and not rechecking. I'm not ragging on the guy, he was nice enough to admit the oversight and to thank me for the catch; and he said he would fix it next week (as long as we win, I suppose). But it does tell me just how inexact or uninformed this polling stuff can be, especially after you get past the top 10.

I'm about ready to let Las Vegas decide the MNC: The big bookmakers pay attention because thay have money on he line. ;)

Yes, I know the AP poll is no longer part of the BCS mix.

You mean kinda like how they were all gonna "fix it" after the Oregon debacle? :D

Remember how certain members of the media were saying that the Oregon mess wouldn't hurt us and voters would remember at the end of the season? Pfft.

Edit: Apparently bri remembers. :O

I think after the bowls shake out, at the end of the season if we win out, we will be one of the top ten.

If we lose any game between now and then, this argument is all for naught.
