DW was clutch yesterday against Texas Tech.

5 tackles, a few pass breakups, in-position all night to make a play, and a couple of clutch stops for the D when they need it. Congratulations #41!

He had a pretty solid game against ISU too.

Darrien has slowly but surely improving back there. A couple of the big plays early in the year against the defense should have been stopped by him for a few yard gain. He's making that tackle now and he's performed very well in pass coverage.

I can't remember if we were playing a lot of man at the beginning of the year, but we're playing a TON of zone now. That may be helping him.

i think we've always pretty been a mostly zone team with man mixed in

dwill has definitely beaten my expectation of him

I can tell you this: we didn't used to run as much zone against Tech as we did yesterday. That's one of the reasons our defense was so much better against them than anyone else's was-Tech's offense is designed as a zone-buster.

I just wish he'd learn to recover a ball when he falls on it.

He's the one that destroyed that flat pass on third-and-short, though, wasn't he? That was an awesome play.

Yeah, I rewatched the game last night. One of the best plays of the game because they lost a yard and had to punt.
