He's wearing a HUGE ring - does anyone know what that was from?

Is that the Aggie Championship Ring?

It's the Moral Victory championship ring. Houston Nutt has one just like it.

It's the "I have turned out the best player in the NFL" ring.

The only thing that I could find is where he coached for TCU - when L.T. was there - they went 10-1, and were Co-WAC champions, but he left before he coached in their bowl game.

Interesting that he'd be wearing that Co-WAC champions ring on game days - I dunno - seems a little strange.

It's probably the A&M ring that all their alumni wear. It's big and it's ugly and they're quite proud of it.

Did Fran go to A&M?

Didn't he win the SEC at 'Bama?

He went to Pittsburgh State, and he didn't win the SEC at 'Bama.

I don't think he went to A&M, but I'm just guessing that they'd be ok with him wearing it. They probably insist on it on the grounds of tradition or something.

If it is from TCU it is either from the sun bowl in 1998 where they beat USC or the 1999 Mobile bowl where we beat East Carolina.

But it may be from one of his teams at Pitt state. I'm not sure if they won a championship with him there but they were pretty successful.

It's one of the Bama NC rings

I think he has two but just wears one.

He never played football, so it has to be from a teach he coached. He hasn't won any championships either so I'm led to believe it's just some bling bling he bought out of a catalog.

He was the NAIA National Coach of the Year in 1986 and 1987 at Pittsburgh State. Maybe the ring is from that or his co-WAC championships as previously mentioned.

I think its an aggie decoder ring. You spin the bezel and it tells you what the heck "hulla buhlew kanick kanick" means.

OU gets rings for conference championships
UT gets rings for conference co-champs and runner-ups
Aggy gets rings for finishing ahead of Baylor

It's his "2002 Tuscaloosa Kiwanis Club National Chamiopnship" ring

Maybe it's the Big 12 4th Place Ring.

I saw Fran wearing that ring again - just curious if anyone knows what it's from.

By the way, it's huge. It's not a class ring.

It probably came from the $1200/year he was making from idiot ATM boosters. Mike Goodson's salary comes from the same fund.

When Paul Bryant was buried in Birmingham in 1983, he took one piece of jewelry to his grave -- a ring given to him by the Junction Boys, the Texas A&M players whom he had regretted working so hard. I wonder how Dennis Franchione's 2002 Alabama team would like to bury him?
There you have it. Fran stole Bear's Junction Boys ring. What a douch3!

(unless you have a better explanation??? c'mon, keep the explanations coming!)

The TV graphic is covering is hand. So, I really can't tell about the ring.

maybe he asked one of the former Aggies from the 1939 national championship team for his ring.
