SETTING THE STAGE: Oklahoma and Arizona meet for the second game of this weekend’s two game series in Tucson…Arizona will come to OKC in February for a pair of games against the Sooners…Oklahoma scored on the power play with just over two minutes remaining for a 3-2 win last night.

OKLAHOMA NOTES: Sooners forward Justin Hall had two goals in last night’s game…Defenseman Robert Hetrick scored the game-winner yesterday with a power play slap shot…Aaron Schmeilski fended off 36 of Arizona’s 38 shots in last night’s contest…The Sooners were 2 of 8 on the power play yesterday…Hall was named Player of the Game by Tucson’s Arizona Daily Star newspaper…When leading after the second period in games on the road, the Sooners’ all-time record after last night is an impressive 14-1-1…OU is now 4-1-0 all-time in games played at the Tucson Convention Center…Oklahoma is 37-12-1 all-time in games played on Saturdays and 8-5-1 in Saturday games on the road.

ARIZONA NOTES: Arizona received goals last night from John Hansen and Max Sliwinski…Goaltender Nick Boddy got the start last night for Arizona, stopping 29 of 32 OU shots…Boddy is expected in net again tonight as Arizona’s No. 1 goaltender, Luke Edwall, has flown home to Minnesota due a death in his family…Arizona was 0 for 6 on the power play last night, including a 5-on-3 advantage with five minutes to go in the game…Despite receiving the 5-on-3 power play late in the game, Arizona coach Leo Golembiewski still had a few choice words for the officials after last night’s contest, both in the locker room tunnel under the stands and on his always entertaining post-game radio commentary.
