She was very disturbed by seeing a cat get ran over on 122nd street.

I really didn't know what to say to her, but I knew I had to try and make her feel better.

So, I said, look, I've seen everything dead on the road: cats, dogs, deer, even people. You know what I do? I just don't think about it, that's what I do! Yeah, I just put it in the back of my mind.

So she says "you've seen dead people on the road?"

Then I have to go through the whole story about the Broncho flipping over on I-44 in Bristow and the driver of said vehicle being ejected, dead on the ground right in the middle of the pavement.

So you see, life can be pretty sh*tty in the out-side world. So, you just take who you love, and you insulate them from the rest of the world, and put all other disturbing thoughts out of your head.

Think she feels better?

I once ran over a pigeon. I hate pigeons. The cloud of feathers behind my car afterwards gave me a warm fuzzy.

I saw an ejected baby-carrier once. It was upside down in the median. I can't ever get that out of my mind and I hope beyond hope that the baby was safe at home.

I wouldn't use the word "hawt" about my brother's dear sweet wife (and she really is a sweetie), but she is pretty good looking!
:D

I once saw a fish that got run over by a car while swimming over a flooded bridge. Only the fish looked more surprised than I did.

Last fall I spent almost every Friday evening over at their house enjoying her cooking. DANG, I sure miss it.

i felt bad about my pigeon, but it was kinda comical

why on earth would you land in front of a Jetta on the highway doing 70+?

the cloud of feathers was quite impressive
