She was very disturbed by seeing a cat get ran over on 122nd street.
I really didn't know what to say to her, but I knew I had to try and make her feel better.
So, I said, look, I've seen everything dead on the road: cats, dogs, deer, even people. You know what I do? I just don't think about it, that's what I do! Yeah, I just put it in the back of my mind.
So she says "you've seen dead people on the road?"
Then I have to go through the whole story about the Broncho flipping over on I-44 in Bristow and the driver of said vehicle being ejected, dead on the ground right in the middle of the pavement.
So you see, life can be pretty sh*tty in the out-side world. So, you just take who you love, and you insulate them from the rest of the world, and put all other disturbing thoughts out of your head.
Think she feels better?
