Good offense and no defense. That is all the Big East is. They just beat up on each other.

Rutgers 9-0 and beat 1 ranked opponent.....They have to bring SOS back as a facto...If you play in a weak conference at least schedule top tier non conference teams to show you are for real

I really wish I had put money on that game...I thought Rutgers would win it, but didn't have enough faith in it to put any money up...Now I wish I would've :(

I sure thought L'ville would win. And as for SOS, as I said in the other thread, yeah Boise St. and Louisville have been top 25 teams for a few years now and their weak SOS should hurt. Alot. But Rutgers? C'mon does anyone really expect them to do their schedule and think "yeah we'll be pretty good in 2006 we'd prolly better schedule Notre Dame and Auburn in September that year or we'll be upset about being left out of the BCS?"

Hell no! Give 'em their props.

No doubt. I loved watching Rutgers play! They've got a good offense and their D isn't too shabby. I think they're legit top 15, but not a serious contender. WVU and UL are just teams with gimmick offenses and no D. Like they've been for the past 10 years it seems. Rutgers is winning in that pansy conference because they're playing hard-nosed assignment-sound football rather than trying to dance around and put up good stats.

Since we have no chance at the MNC by now, I want to see Rutgers climb to the top and play for an MNC. After they get their butts handed to them on a platter, maybe we can dump this silly BcS once and for all.

I think RU has a top 10 defense, and did you watch the second half?

Hopefully they don't blow it against Cincy. That WVU game's going to be a good one.

Considering who they've beaten that's not too impressive.

September 2 at North Carolina W 21-16 1-0 (0-0)
September 9 Illinois W 33-0 2-0 (0-0)
September 16 Ohio W 24-7 3-0 (0-0)
September 23 Howard W 56-7 4-0 (0-0)
September 29 at South Florida W 22-20 5-0 (1-0)
October 14 at Navy W 34-0 6-0 (1-0) CSTV
October 21 at Pittsburgh W 20-10 7-0 (2-0)
October 29 Connecticut W 24-13 8-0 (3-0)
November 9 No. 3 Louisville W 28-25 9-0 (4-0)

Miami's defense is pretty good (and they get no help from their offense) yet Louisville scored more on Miami than they did on Rutgers.

New to the top 25 or not, no one should get a pass by playing a weak NCS. Everyone plays by the same rules, no exceptions. Tough luck that you wern't far sighted. Try again next year.

We've scheduled quality opponents the summer before we played them (Oregon three years ago.) There are teams out there, you just have to hussle to get the games.
