The Tulsa World picker made an early pick in the paper today....He picked osu by 10 over OU!
Let's see.......aTm beats osu in stoolwater...OU beats aTm in College Station...makes sense to me:rolleyes:
Oh, I forgot, osu has all those "close" losses...never mind:rolleyes:

Oh, you mean Dave Sittler/Jay Crowley's annual "early pick" where they ALWAYS say that aggy is gonna thump overrated OU, and then makes a Bob Barry, Sr joke? And then, when we slap aggy back into their place, they try and pretend that it NEVER happened?

Yeah, that would be one of the myriad reasons I don't read the World.

2000 - Our National Championship season almost gets de-railed as a TD pass into the end zone is batted away by Derrick Strait. Closest game we had all season.

2002 - OSU wins. Big.

2004 - OSU misses a game-tying FG in the last minute after coming back in the second half. We give up over 300 yards of passing.

Guys, I hate to say this but we haven't been overly dominating in Stillwater in the past few years. I think I could go further back to 1998 when they won, but that was before Stoops.

BTW, any thread with the Tulsa World AND OSU in it is sure to get bri's temper going. :D

wow, logic on this board??? hmm...
about what exactly? the game should be close I think.
but we should be favored.

now, lack of logic is actually more acceptabe with oSu fans. you see, we've won, games, conference, national titles, etc..

you haven't.

we can be unrealistic and somehow it's still possible.:)

So you're saying that we're 2 and 1 in Stillwater, with the one loss coming in "Push-Off Woods" break-out game?

I'll take those odds this year.

Plus, doesn't OSU have a Heisman hopeful? ;) You know how those guys fare against OU.

We need to exact some revenge against sand aggy before we start overlooking Baylor...

but...

we've been outscored 80-78 in our three trips to Stillwater during the Stoops Era...

and they'll be in a frenzy this time around as usual.

It'll be a tough game.

It's pretty basic and most people here understand it.

Fact 1: The game will be close

Fact 2: OU will be favored (which doesn't mean alot)

Fact 3: What ever happens, it will happen in a way no one was expecting (as allways).

OU has "hung half a hundred" on OSU 12 times.

On the other hand, OSU has won 5 of the last 11. Do they have a t-shirt for that?

it's hard to be 43-3 when ranked higher when @ least 1 team has been ranked 49 teams when the two played... plus OSU has won 100% of the time they've been ranked higher (the rankings on soonerstats.com are wrong in 1988, when OU was 8 and OSU was 12), so OSU is obviously a better football program, but the world knows that already.....

OSU has a strong running and passing attack. The question is their defense. It will be their bowl game...unless you count Fort Worth, Houston or I-Bowl as bowl games. The game will be close or probably will be. I just think AD's triumphant return will push us over the top. Not that we can't win without him, but the spark will electrify the team.

sorry, but we only gave up 207. and keep in mind we also turned the ball over twice inside our own 10 yard line. if we would have corrected the turnovers, we would have blown them off the field.

and it's also just like an aggroid to quote an incorrect stat, too. :les:

Actually in 2004 it was OU that made the comeback as they found themselves down by a TD early in the game. Pokes scored a TD with 11:00 minutes remaining and never found themselves in scoring position for th erest of the game.
