Guess I missed it before, but Antonio Perkins was waived on October 28 by the Browns, then signed to their practice squad on November 2.

ok so when they sign Perkins to the practice squad what does that mean as far as salary? I'd imagine much less.

What about Strait does he come in highly discounted?

Rhino or anyone know?

If you lived in FW-Dallas you wouldn't be so sure the RRW would be hard to pry away...........there are media people who try to run him out of town every week.......

Rhino or anyone know? Practice squad money is $4,350/wk.

Strait is a third-year player, so his league minimum is $380,000/yr.

he can lay a hit like no other, but gets burnt like toast by the deep ball at least a couple times a game.:(

Its a great time to be living in Chicago.

Earlier this year Lovie was quoted as saying something along the lines of "The Sooners have been very good to us"

So what Sooners are currently on the Chicago roster now? I know Tommie Harris and Mark Bradley are. Are the Bears playing on TV this week?

I suppose I could look this info up, but I'm way too lazy.

I was already a Bears fan before they decided to pick up a Sooner every year.

Welcome to the (fairly empty, now) bandwagon.

True, but with Berrien listed as questionable, he may get his first action of the season.

i thought Bradley was still injured. i know that last year he was starting to turn in to "the guy" before he got hurt.

as of earlier today

But while Berrian recovers, another long receiving threat, Mark Bradley, is poised to return from a high ankle sprain. Second on the team as a rookie last year at 12.8 yards per reception before tearing his right ACL in the seventh game, Bradley was inactive for the season opener and caught one pass against Detroit in Week 2. He was available the next week, but inactive the past five.

As a lifelong Packer fan, all these Sooners going to the Bears saddens me greatly--- imagine if Oklahoma high school stars all played for the whorns? Yeah, that's how I feel--- guys I liked these years at OU going to play my team's biggest rival at the next level.

However, I would have to say that the reason they were undefeated for the first many games was because of the OU influence. That loss can be accredited to that loser Grossman (Florida sucks), Benson (Texas REALLY sucks) and whoever else they have.

Elaborate please.

The local Dallas media likes to pin a lot of the long pass plays given up by the Dallas D on TRRW. There are a few plays were he has made mistakes, but he gets too much blame. The pass rush is not very good, which puts a strain on the secondary. The media doesn't mention that.

More proof that the Dallas sports media are a bunch of village idiots that have wandered away from their villages.

I the the bears keep signing Sooners I may just have to start watching boring, clinical NFL games again.

11/9/2006, 01:59 AM
Uhh... R.W. McQuarters isn't on the Bears squad anymore. Hasn't been there for awhile.

Grossman has had a few great games, then he lays 4-turnover eggs.

For Packer fans, what happened to Torrance Marshall? Is he still on Green Bay's roster?

I think they only get paid during the season, so $4350x16=pretty decent money, but peanuts compared to league minimum.

can someone please explain to me: why is it that strait was such a stud in college, and has basically been a non factor in the pros? i mean, its not like he didnt have competition to play against.

did he get injured like most sooners? just wasn't given a good chance? wasnt a good fit for the team? or is he just not good enough?

Mark looked good last night. Great to see him back on the field. I know they love Dusty too, and he'll definitely be in the DT rotation when he's healthy next year.
