Title: "From ABC: preliminary election results indicate disdain for Bush"

It points our that he only has a 40% approval rating. Only when you get to the bottom do you see that Clintons approval rating at his final mid term election was 21%.

Actually 40 % seems like an improvement from all the reports I've seen over the past few months.

Just sayin

The president, at least to some extent, is looking like a drag on his party this election. In preliminary exit poll results, voters by more than a 10-point margin, are more apt to say they're voting to show opposition to Bush rather than to show him support. More than a third are voting to show opposition to the president. That compares with 21 percent in 1998, during the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal, and 27 percent in 1994.

Is that the passage you're referring to? If so, you might care to read it again. :)
