It's done. I just finished taking the Graduate Record Exam. YEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHAAAAWWWW! I barely make the cut off score for the GRE, and my Sooners win at Kyle Field. It's all smooth sailing from here. :)

Anyone else ever take this test before?

PS: GDC/NSUOTEP If you are lurking. You are so appreciated for sending me those study guides. They helped more than you'll ever know. God bless you buddy!

Nothing says relief like getting that out of the way.:D :D :D :D :D

I think the focus has been redirected to Family Science, With a goal to get the PHD.

But I'm open for information if you have some.

I'll be off line for a while, but I'll be back later. PM me if you want.

was that the general or subject exam?

I found the general (computerized) to be a breeze.

The subject-specific exam (physics in my case) was a bitch however...There were times where I wondered if I was in the right room.

You know my opinion. PhD in FS is fine if you plan to teach. If you want to work, the MSW is 2nd only to an RN in terms of a great union card and job security. Superior to related degrees in terms of flexibility and job satisfaction if ya don't burn out in the first 5 years. Regardless, I hope you enjoy grad school in whatever you decide and don't lose that idealistic goal of wanting to save the world one case at a time!

It's not, it's almost as bad as the LSAT.

Meh. I thought the GMAT was a joke. As was MBA school.

The GMAT isn't a joke if you haven't done math in 5 years and sucked at math to begin with. MBA classes aren't overly strenous but the Ag Econ classes make up for it, for me anyway. Getting an MBA is classic signaling behavior more than anything else.

I've concluded the Ideal Major for the GRE is a Double Major in Mathematics and Vocabulary(if it exists), with a Minor in Essay Writing. ;)

Meh, you only need freshman level math and english really. You just have to really know it.
