will an M-16 mag work? I used to have a few of those around
Nope, I'm limited to 7 rounds. Otherwise the game warden will frown.
ah, I'll just cut up a wooden block and insert it between the floorplate and teh bottom of the spring.

With or without Serial numbers?
I have to ask, WTF are you hunging with a .223 caliber rifle?
Deer season is opening up for rifle season in a couple of weeks in OK. What do you Tennessee boys use, spitwads?:D
Heh, I've always thought of the 30-30 as the perfect Tennessee rifle.
Me, I use a .270 win and will only hunt deer if I can't get home to Idaho for elk-huntin' from now on. Damn this is some great meat!
I need to get a smaller rifle. I was thinking of a .270. I have been using an AR-30 300 win mag.
My baby!!!(minus the muzzle break)

Yeah, I'll try and order me a factory made one real quick.
I know some of you are like "WTF are you hunting deer with .223 for?" The answer is that the shot should be close - 50 yards or so- and this thing is accurate to a penny at that range. It's small, light, and easy to move around up in that stand.
Mongo - that Armalite is fkn awesome!
Anyway, my other option is to use .308 with iron sights.
With or without Serial numbers?
Let me take a gander here real fast...
I need the ones that do NOT say "RESTRICTED LAW ENFORCEMENT/GOVERNMENT USE ONLY OR BATF APPROVED EQUIVALENT"

Thank ya. It makes those 400-500 yard shots pretty easy, and you dont have to track the deer very far after the shot. The only problem is with it decked out and a full mag, it weighs about 20lbs.
Call the armalite company and ask about the mag you need. Or just go to a couple of gun shops and see if they have any. Or check any gun shows in your area, they are bound to have them.

The only loaded gun in my house is an 870. (http://world.guns.ru/shotgun/sh17-e.htm)
Jerk, since you are a fellow gun lover, have you tried the Springfield XD yet? pretty sweet pistola.
Nope. I sort of got into pistols back when I was in my early 20's but for some reason I lost interest and have BRD (black rifle disease).
There is a board member here who let me shoot his back in the spring. I forgot my hearing protection that day and so it didn't last long.
