Subpar? Geezus Christo.
He sure as hell wasn't the greatest OU QB of all time, but I'd hardly call Hybl "subpar." I've argued this now until I'm blue in the face but most programs around the country would have killed to have a QB of Hybl's quality. He lost what, 3-4 games as a starter and won OU and the Big XII its very first Rose Bowl and getting MVP of the game?
I'm glad OU has extremely high expectations..they should it's OU...but man Hybl deserved a little bit more respect than he got.

Well, when you get stuffed in between Heupel and White, I expect you're going to look a little lack-luster by comparison.

True, but there was a lot of ragging on Hybl when Hybl was playing before White started.

No one has busted up with the story about Josh Heupel's nuptials. That's all that matters here.
From June 28, 2006:
JH: Congratulations for getting recently married.
Heupel: “That is the best recruiting job that I ever did.”
JH: How does it feel to be married?
Heupel: “It doesn’t feel any different at this point, but it has only been a week. She is not on me too hard yet.” .

I flew back with Josh on Continental flight from Houston a few months back and it looked to me like marriage agrees with him....(he was kinda chubby then) I'm sure he lost all that before the season though....
