Thank you.

Way too early to quit on your team - there's an entire half to be played. Every team has bad days. Not saying that Shula is the right coach, but don't give up on em yet.

I never thought I would ever hear Dave Rader get a compliment for anything he did football-related... well, ever.

Dave Rader may not be high up on the coaching ladder, but he's better than Joe Dickinson. haha

Selma, don't be a fair weather fan, dude.

We all here made it through the Smellsofbourbon/Blake years. We kept watching and waiting. Finally, 2000 happened. :)

I wouldn't stress too much. Your program is one of the great historic programs in NCAA history. Once you have the right coach that can recruit well (and win football games), you'll skyrocket to the top of the SEC. Your fans/boosters won't allow the team to hang near the SEC bottom feeders for too long. Shula's probably gone soon. When he is, it will be a sweepstakes for the HC at Bama. Contrary to what that one queerboy says, you DO NOT leave Bama for aTm. The other way around makes sense (a la the Bear). Keep your head up. You'll be back in the top 10 before the decade's up.

I see some real comparisons to 'Bama now and OU during the mid-90s.
Shula may or may not be the problem and I've said for a few years now that 'Bama has not really felt the pain of their last probation because Brodie Croyle made such a huge difference for 4 years. Last year if Prothro doesn't get hurt, 'Bama is easily a top 10 team. I know ifs/buts=candy/nuts.
Just sayin'.

Hang in there Selma.

Ironic...especially considering today's loss. Sylvester would have been the perfect choice, but alas, Bama was hamstrung by the same politics that forced the Bear to play USC just to prove to the boosters that black players could compete with white players. Some folks are still stuck in the 1860s.

Hang in there man. The Tide will rise again. In the meantime, at least you lost to one of Bear's boys...and he prolly bought himself at least another season in Starkville with that win.:O

Where's jreed13 when you need him?

Historically, Alabama has benefited from the entire rest of the SEC West being down.

They will not be able to draw the south's top recruits against LSU, Auburn, Florida, and Georgia anymore. Not to mention that the league's best coach resides in the same state, and they would be lucky to take 1 out of every 5 Iron Bowls as long as he is the coach.

*sigh* Red....you knew last year Wilson sucked....you didn't get Snead, so it was pretty obvious that year 1 A.B.C was going to be rough.

It has nothing to do with Brodie Croyle though. Apparently you guys forget that our offense sucked while he was here too.

Wilson isnt that bad... if he could find an OL to atleast get in someone's way things might be different.

you also need to remember you guys are still feeling the effects in full force of the lack of scholarships. It'll probably be another two years before you're back up to a good full 85 strong.

I thought Andre Smith was going to be the savior of the Bama O-Line?

The closest I ever came to swearing off OU was during the Mizzou game in 1998, and if my memory serves me right, I think we tried to attempt a FG on third down in that one. (of course, BBS was calling it and it wasn't on TV, so I could be wrong).
