I'd like to do this, but only if it's not violating my masculinity.

You can do it, but you have to surrender your man card for 6 months.

wine chugging contest would be OK. wine tasting? i dunno. you'd have to axe Lid - who is a flaming homosexual.

is the wine in a box?

If so I'd say it's ok.

So long as you don't do the swish-n-spit thing. Just keep on drinking. Getting drunk will help balance it out.

will there be chicks present or just a bunch of dudes sniffing each others wine?

will there be cheese there? you can't have a good wine tasting without cheese.

Gay man laws or straight man laws?

Cheap wine = good time.

Especially when wimmens are involved.

There are no gay man laws. Ask Lid. :D

To answer the question, hosting a wine tasting party is permissible so long as:

a. the food involves cheese and steak
b. you serve only red wine (none of that clear flat champagne stuff)
c. you host a scotch or bourbon tasting party within one months time

I would say that using the term, "man law" in conversation is more effete than tasting wine.

The fact that Adam Corolla had a series called "The Man Show" frees us all up from ever having to look to Hollywood to define our masculinity again.

I think if strippers are there, it's manly to have a wine tasting.

I don't think it violates man law. I drink a lot of wine, but have never hosted the wine / cheese tasting party. Been to a couple, they're fun, you get hammah'd, and it's kind of like matching interesting jelly belly flavors.

Only if the chicks spit instead of swallow.

The wine, you perverts. The wine.

I agree. Once Madison Avenue gets their hands on a phrase its best to eliminate it from further usage, at least temporarily (its okay to start using "Where's the beef?" again).

One Miller Lite "man law" commercial was enough. Burt Reynolds is now dead to me.
