In excel how do you average a column? I've tried =AVG(highlighted numbers) enter, but that doesnt seem to work. I suck at these devil machines. TIA.

I usually just have my secretary do it, which allows for more soonerfans posting time.

You were really close. I think it is =AVERAGE(CELL RANGE)

for a sample yes.
If somehow you were using a population, it would be STDEVP
